Landscape paintings in watercolour, acrylic or pastel
The romantic beauty of the landscape captured in traditional artist's mediums
Watercolour landscape paintings I have always enjoyed since my days at art college.
I particularly admire the works of traditional romantic painters like John Sell Cotman and J.M.W. Turner. More recent watercolourist include Brian Irvin and Paul Talbot-Greaves.
The landscape of Scotland and northern Englands is of particular interest to me, as I live in the Borders region of Northumberland.
Other medium includes acrylic and chalk pastel
I also paint in acrylic, which is a kind of watercolour version of oil paints. Where as chalk pastels are more of a drawing medium.
